I bought this for my dog whom we have decided has A.D.D. (haha) Anyway, she does have a short attention span, and the scenes in this movie are a bit too long to hold her attention. They will interest her for about 10 seconds, maybe a little longer, but as each scene and sound stays there for a good 5-10 minutes, I ended up watching more than she did. Also, there weren’t a lot of barking dogs (just the same one occasionally throughout the movie) and there weren’t any scenes of dogs playing together or anything. I think that these would have held her attention far longer than the ducks, chickens, fish, etc..

The movie is set up nicely, but for a dog with virtually no attention span, it didn’t work out well.

I bought 4 as gifts for my friends at work. This is the coolest thing I’ve seen.

I had a notion that my 2 yr old husky pup would not be into this, but figured I’d give it a shot anyway due to high ratings and ” my dog never watched TV before, but loves this!” type reviews. Overall it seems well intentioned, but was mostly corny and annoying. There is a lot of movement and sound, but it gets old pretty quick and is not the best for a dog that needs a little more stimulus such as play and scent.

The corny was the easy listening contemporary piano music throughout and the occasional strange, softly spoken word passages about dogs. Gives it kind of a suburban new age feel overall. The footage itself is pretty much someone filming playing fetch with their own dog in their backyard, some park paths, and animals at the local zoo? If you were unaware of what this was, you would think you were watching someone’s home movies. Oh wait, you pretty much are.

The annoying was the sound bytes of dogs whimpering on and off throughout, which I fail to see how this was supposed to be calming for dogs when it’s generally a noise that comes from a dog that is stressed out or under duress. There’s also some audio segments of kids screaming and yelling, which again, may not be the most ideal pleasant noise for all dogs.

It’s not a total loss as the auto loop function is a nice feature and I’ll still leave it playing with the sound turned down and radio on in its place, but he’s pretty indifferent towards it and my money would have been better spent towards some good nature documentaries instead, something a little more interesting visually for he and I both.

Had tried many things to help my dogs throughout the years but finally hit the jackpot with this DVD. I had bought DVD for Cats and it was a favorite for my cats so thought I try DVD For Dogs. To my amazement all 3 of dogs sat and stared at the screen. Great for when I have to work or when my dog (I am talking most about my lab derek) wont stop bugging me to throw the ball. 5 Stars +++

Bought this video for my dog to watch/listen to while I am at work. It’s basically a video with a few different scenes, some relaxing music, and loud animal sounds. My dog kind of paid attention when the duck scenes came on, but lost interest fast. It feels like each each scene lasts too long and my dog loses interest. Maybe some dogs would sit and watch this DVD, but mine wasn’t particularly interested.
